Oster is one of the most ancient Ukrainian cities. It is mentioned in the chronicles of 1098 “On how Prince Volodymyr Monomakh founded the city of the river of Voster”. At those times this city of Voster was a part of Pereyaslav principality. The streets of the city still bear the spirit of those times.
